Nike profile
Nike is an American company specializing in shoes, clothes and sports equipment. The name is inspired by the Greek goddess of victory Nike, goddess with wings capable to move at high speed, which represents the best known statue in the Louvre museum in Paris.
The company assured its fame by a simple and quickly recognizable logo: the Swoosh, a comma put horizontally in reverse, was created by Carolyn Davidson in 1972 as the wing of the goddess Nike.
Nike headquarters are based in Beaverton, Oregon.
